Petzl Fly Ski Mountaineering Harness

Peztl Fly is a new big news for 2020 in the French company: a harness designed specifically for technical mountaineering and ski touring. Light, comfortable and quick to wear even with your feet on the ground.

To see it it seems so simple but, to make it so comfortable and practical there are really many studies and as many technologies behind it.

Petzl has patented a belt adjustment system without a metal buckle: this, in addition to reducing its weight, also makes the harness more compressible. It is in fact a sliding element placed inside the belt that you can take out when you need it without much trouble.

Another peculiarity is that the waist belt and the leg loops are equipped with padding to increase comfort but, if you are planning a particularly technical output where the weight you carry behind makes the difference, these padding can be removed by reducing the weight from 130 g. 100 g

Fly is quick to wear even when you have skis or crampons on your feet: the leg loops can be completely opened and can be fastened with a wolf’s mouth knot.

Lastly, it is equipped with two slots for the carabiner, four buckles for the material and the past with silicone inside on the leg loops to fix the ice nails.
