Petzl I’D L Self-braking Descender With Anti-panic Function For Rescue

The Petzl I’D L rescue device descender is self-braking with anti-panic function, addressed to rescue technicians and designed to offer you a comfortable, safe and rapid progression.

With the I’D L you have the possibility to make the descent in two ways, on the flange or in the V-shaped braking groove. You can also make short ascents on a rope or secure a first rope, using the cam.

I’D L accepts ropes with a diameter range between 12.5 and 13 mm and allows you to handle loads up to 280 kg. For large loads you can add an additional brake to the descender to further control the descent.

The device connects it directly to the harness through the opening click positioned on the mobile flange. To insert the rope, simply open the mobile flange facing the operator, keeping the device always hooked to the harness.

I’D L has an ergonomic handle that allows you to always have ample control of the descent, an integrated antipanic function that comes into action when for any reason you pull the handle too hard, automatically stops and stops the descent; of an anti-error stop.

These technical details reduce the risk of a possible accident in case of incorrect use.

Petzl thinks of an Auto-lock system that allows you to easily place yourself in the workplace without having to make the stop key and use the handle.

When you leave the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the descender. The automatic return of the handle reduces the risk of involuntary coupling.
